Hi everyone,
Happy April! I canโt believe a quarter of the year is already behind us. Itโs a good reminder to pause and check in with yourself, and for me, to reflect on what weโre building and where things are headed.
I wanted to share a few important updates.
The first and biggest: we officially now have a nonprofit arm. ๐
You can find out more and support the work by making a pledge here.
Your donation helps us build an emergency fund for creators in crisis, expand access to free and low-cost mental health resources, and continue growing support systems that didnโt exist for this industry before.
Other updates
Our first CreatorCare group is almost wrapped
Weโre coming to the end of our first group therapy cohort, and itโs been really meaningful to see creators show up for themselves and each other in this way.
Weโre planning to start another group in May.
Open to California-based creators
$35 per session
6 weeks, small group format
If this feels like something you (or someone you know) could benefit from, you can sign up or share it here.
If group isnโt your thing, CreatorCare also offers 1:1 therapy with discounted, sliding-scale options, with or without insurance. You can explore that here.
Mental Health Awareness Month is coming up
We have a lot planned for May, and Iโm really excited about it. Think: new collaborations, more resources, and some public-facing moments that bring creator mental health into the mainstream conversation.
More on that very soon. In the meantime, follow us on IG for more consistent updates.
Some wins from our community
A couple of our Creators 4 Mental Health advisors recently released books, which is just incredible to see:
Dr. Rachel Goldman released When Life Happens and appeared on The Mel Robbins podcast.
Dr. Sasha Hamdani announced her new book Too Sensitive available to pre-order now and also appeared on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard to talk about it.
Also, Kevin Hinesโ podcast The Hines Story is charting and gaining traction. If you donโt know Kevinโs story, itโs one of the most powerful in this space, and the podcast is worth a listen.
